My First Blog
by Mike Keating on Monday, 24th of February 2014

Well, I have been slowly dragged into the world of the internet. This is my first BLOG on the fantastic new website. The internet has been around since the 1960’s and was widely used by Academics. But it has only become mainstream since about 1990. In 1994 only 3% of American classrooms had the Internet while by 2002, this figure has increased to 92%. It literally is the greatest change in human technology since the discovery of fire!

As an amateur philosopher, and reasonably decent Bible student, and a passionate and devoted follower of Jesus, I am committed to inspiring people and to discover the abundant life found in an authentic relationship with God and others.

However, I am learning to do less and listen more. I find that it is too easy to yell at the ‘seed’ GROW, and even get impatient with the ‘seed’, and judge the ‘seed’, and criticise the ‘seed’. I am learning that sometimes it is our task to simply plant the seed and watch over the seed with patience. Sometimes, we will need to water it and even fertilise it, but growth will always come from a healthy seed.

If you have taken the time to check in with my thoughts, I would like to thank you and would really appreciate your feedback.

May the Lord continue to bless you to be a blessing to others!
