Wednesday, 9th December 2009 @ 13:54The greatest sacrifice WINS!
I was reading in 2 King 3 and I was struck by a number of key points. Firstly, I was reminded again of the great importance of music in relationship to the anointing. Elisha was a proven prophet with a double portion of Elijah's anointing but he required the ministry of a musician to assist the prophetic word to flow. How critical is this ministry of music that can open and close the taps of the anointing of God?
I was also intrigued by the fact that the King of Moab was able to prevent the fulfilment of God's will and word by sacrificing his own son. Despite clear direction from God and his promise of victory, God's people turned away at the sight of the human scarifice. I wonder how many times God's people fail to get their victory because the enemy was prepared to make abigger sacrifice.
Jesus is of course the greatest sacrifice and the complete and final means of victory. However, believers have an obligation to grace to present our bodies as living sacrifices - therein lies the victory! Rms 12:1-3
